Dr. Russell Grover

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Dr. Grover attended Dalhousie Dental School.  After graduating in 1978, Dr. Grover spent the next four years in West Germany serving the Canadian Armed Forces, where he was promoted to the rank of major and was awarded the Canadian Decoration for Outstanding Service.

In 1985 Dr. Grover decided to buy out an existing practice from a retiring dentist, here in Hamilton, and thus began his present practice which has expanded over the 20 plus years from 800 patients to almost 4,000 today.  Beginning with a one treatment room office, consisting of Dr. Grover and 2 team members, to ‘Grover Dental Care’ today expanding to two locations with a team of dentists, hygienists, clinical assistants, administrators and treatment coordinators.  And thanks to you, our wonderful dental family we continue to grow!

Dr. Grover has been committed to ‘giving back’ since 2002 through his charitable work in Guatemala and Kenya for the children and adults very much in need of dental care.  Over the years of missions he has had the support of his wife, Heidi, team members, patients and the dental community.

Dr. Grover’s patient care philosophy is to help people have the confidence in their smile and enjoy a lifetime of oral health.

Dr. Ana Maria Gonzalez

Dr. Ana Maria Gonzalez, better known as ‘Dr. Ana’ joined Grover Dental Care in 2001 and over the years with us, our dental family has benefited from her enthusiasm for dentistry and her love of children. 

Dr. Ana was born and educated in Mexico.  She attended the University of Mexico, receiving her degree in Dentistry in 1982.  After meeting her now husband, Dr. Ana in 1985 relocated to Hamilton and prepared for the National Dental Board Exam to receive her Ontario license with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.  During her preparation time she stayed involved in the dental office as a clinical assistant and in 2000 successfully completed the exam and received her license to practice.

Always interested in learning and growing, Dr. Ana continues her education in ways to benefit the children in the practice.  Her most recent areas of study have been conscious sedation and interceptive orthodontic care for children and ‘Invisalign’ orthodontic technique for older teens and adults.

Dr. Lisa Gaubert

Dr. Lisa Gaubert is a native of Hamilton attending Hill Park High School.  After high school, Dr. Lisa studied at the University of Western Ontario where she attained her undergraduate, Bachelor of Science degree in 1999 and then on to the University of Toronto, graduating as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2003.  Following her graduation, Dr. Lisa joined Grover Dental Care and has consistently demonstrated her dedication to clinical excellence and care for her patients. 

Dr. Lisa enjoys and practices all aspects of general dentistry with special interest and clinical skill in cosmetic dentistry.  Team members and patients alike sense her genuine interest in the well being of her patients and providing them with the best possible dental care.

DR. GUS BAL

A 1994 graduate of Boston University School of Dentistry, Dr. Bal believed dentistry at its best involves truly working with people, and goes beyond merely treating teeth. He believes that any respect he is given is earned, and is not bestowed from his degrees or title. Dr. Bal believes the most important reason for being in practice is the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of each of his patients.

Born in Punjab, India, the oldest of four, Dr. Bal grew up in Toronto, Canada as his family followed his father's advancing career. He graduated from Morning Star High School in Malton, Ontario, and graduated as a Human Biology major from University in Toronto, then moved to Boston, MA to attend Boston University School of Dentistry. After dental school Dr. Bal had the opportunity to work with many excellent people, and in particular had the opportunity to practice with Dr. Joseph Mills, in North Dartmouth, Ma.

Prior to coming to Hamilton, Ontario, he practised cosmetic dentistry in Barrie, Ontario, and attended many courses in postgraduate dentistry. He is dedicated to the newest advancements in cosmetic dentistry and keep up-to-date with the latest technologies. Dr. Bal has always been involved in dentistry since he was very young and takes great pride in building family relationships and believes in helping patients from all walks of life. He has been implementing the cutting edge dental techniques. They include cosmetic dentistry, patient makeovers, Zoom laser teeth whitening, dental implants, porcelain veneers, TMJ and Neuromuscular Dentistry using Full Biopak, Invisalign, pediatric care, root canals, dentures, oral surgery and oral sedation dentistry
